Working with children from at least Nursery age and increasing the amount of children the school has contact with to help the youngest children achieve a good starting level of cognitive development;

Provision of out of school hours experiences for early years children and their immediate families over weekends and during school holidays.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Engagement with parents, carers and members of local community
This is essential to ensure that the good learning in school is reinforced by students’ experiences outside school;

Supporting children and families with packages of support and distraction activities, especially targeting high levels of domestic violence and emotional abuse and neglect.

Providing resources and projects to improve adult numeracy and literacy to help parents and carers to improve their aspirations and develop as good role models for children.

Using the schools resources and facilities to provide services and activities to support the community.

Providing support especially designed for mothers of students to develop their skills, confidence and encouragement they can offer their family.

With 1 in 10 children having mental health issues, working to offer additional services and support to promote mental wellbeing.
